At Tokyo Rainbow Pride (TRP), a Specified Nonprofit Organization, we strive to create a ''happy society where everyone can live as themselves, joyfully, and proudly'', embracing diverse sexualities. TRP-hosted events and conferences are open to everyone, welcoming participants from all backgrounds. Regardless of legal gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, race, nationality, religion, place of origin, disability, or any other characteristic, we ask for your cooperation in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
TRP is dedicated to fostering an equal and inclusive society free from discrimination. To help prevent unintentional harm caused by prejudice or misunderstanding, please review the following Code of Conduct before participating:

Starting this year, TRP has added the following five principles to the existing requirements for all sponsors, organizations, and partners participating in Tokyo Pride 2025. Please register as volunteer with an understanding of TRP's policy:
1. Respect all lives and uphold human rights.
2. Oppose and do not tolerate any form of violence.
3. Contribute to a sustainable society with environmental considerations.
4. Ensure equal treatment of all employees, including LGBTQ+ employees, in the workplace and all areas of business, while eliminating discrimination and harassment.
5. Recognize that adherence to this policy fosters positive change not only within the company but also in society.

[Volunteer Participation Requirements]
1. Participants must be at least 15 years old as of April 1, 2025 (middle school students are not eligible).
* Volunteers under 18 must submit a handwritten ''Volunteer Participation Consent Form'' signed by a guardian before participating. This form will be sent separately to eligible participants.
2. Volunteers must follow staff instructions at all times to help ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.
3. Non-native Japanese speakers must have sufficient proficiency to communicate effectively in everyday Japanese and follow instructions from staff.
[Volunteer Participation Guidelines and Expectations]
1. Volunteer Activities:
Volunteering is entirely voluntary and not obligatory. However, volunteers are expected to take responsibility for their assigned tasks and participate proactively with a positive attitude.
2. Purpose of Tokyo Pride 2025:
Tokyo Pride 2025 is a celebration of gender and sexual diversity, dedicated to raising awareness of LGBTQ+ and other sexual minorities. Organized by TRP, the event is made possible through the collaboration of various groups, participants, and volunteers. We ask that all volunteers understand and support this purpose before participating.
3. Prohibited Behavior:
Any form of slander, defamation, or behavior that incites prejudice or discrimination against individuals or groups is strictly prohibited.
4. Following Instructions:
Volunteers must follow event staff instructions at all times.
5. Grounds for Dismissal:
Volunteers may be immediately dismissed and/or permanently barred from future participation if they engage in:
- Illegal or fraudulent activities, or any actions that incite or facilitate such behavior.
- Excessive self-promotion, multi-level marketing, or religious solicitation.
- Conduct that disrupts public order or violates moral standards.
- Inappropriate exposure or sexual behavior deemed unsuitable for volunteer activities.
- Any actions that, in the judgment of staff, jeopardize the safe and orderly operation of the event.
- Behavior that directly contradicts TRP's advocacy policies.
- Any other conduct deemed inappropriate or harmful by staff.
6. Confidentiality:
Volunteers must not disclose any personal information or operational details learned during the event. Photos or videos taken during the event may not be shared on social media or blogs without prior permission. Volunteers are solely responsible for managing their own personal information.
7. Diversity:
Sexuality is beautifully diverse, and our participants and volunteers represent a wide range of backgrounds and identities. We ask that you honor and respect these differences, embracing this opportunity to connect, learn, and foster meaningful, positive relationships with one another.
8. Pre-Event Meetings and Tasks:
Volunteer activities include not only tasks on the event day but also pre-event preparations. Updates will be shared via email or LINE, so please stay engaged and participate actively.
9. Health Management:
Volunteer activities may involve long hours outdoors. Please ensure you are well-rested, hydrated, and nourished. If you feel unwell, please notify staff in advance. Volunteers with medical conditions, disabilities, or allergies participate at their own risk. While accommodations may be considered upon request, participation may be denied in some cases.
Volunteers will not be permitted to participate if
- They have a fever of 37.5 degree or higher (or 1 degree above their normal temperature).
- There is suspicion of alcohol consumption on the day of the event.
- Staff determine they are visibly unwell or unfit to participate.
10. Event Changes or Cancellations:
In the event of inclement weather, earthquakes, infectious diseases (e.g., dengue fever, COVID-19), or other unforeseen circumstances, the event may be modified or canceled. Any updates will be communicated via email or posted on the website.
11. Other Restrictions:
The following individuals are ineligible to volunteer:
- Members of organized crime groups, or those who have left such groups within the past five years.
- Individuals deemed ineligible by TRP.

Insurance Coverage:
TRP provides insurance coverage for volunteers, which includes:
(1) Injury compensation for unintended accidents that occur during the event.
(2) Liability coverage for any damages caused to others during the event.
A roster will be created for insurance purposes. In the event of a claim, the participant's name, address, and phone number will be required. This information will be used exclusively for insurance purposes.
Privacy Policy:
TRP handles personal information in accordance with its privacy policy, ensuring its accuracy and deleting it when no longer needed. Personal information is used for event planning, volunteer management, and related purposes. Sensitive information, such as sexual orientation or gender identity, is collected anonymously to improve events and support advocacy efforts.
